i first saw gwen frostic’s block printed stationery when her artwork was featured in martha stewart living. i love her delicate drawing style and subject matter– and i ordered a ton of her card sets from the website, which is run by her children (she died at age 94 in 2001). the site has terrible images and is hard to navigate, but the prices are cheap- and i loved everything i ordered.

like zillions of other people, i’ve been so inspired by denyse schmidt and her style of quilting… i took a class from her at make workshop a few years ago and it had a huge impact on me. her wool and cotton couture quilts are my favorite. i visit her webiste now and then just to look at them and be inspired again…
