i first saw gwen frostic’s block printed stationery when her artwork was featured in martha stewart living. i love her delicate drawing style and subject matter– and i ordered a ton of her card sets from the website, which is run by her children (she died at age 94 in 2001). the site has terrible images and is hard to navigate, but the prices are cheap- and i loved everything i ordered.

  1. Oh I love Gwen Frostic’s work! Every winter my family would go skiing in northern Michigan very close to where her studio is. My Mom and I would take a day off from skiing to go visit her studio and store. I’d always get a fun little pad of paper. I haven’t been there in ages. It was such a beautiful studio from what I remember.

  6. I love her work!! My mom bought some of her stuff before I was born and I grew up with loving a notepad by her. Got the visit the studio a couple of years ago when I was camping up in Michigan. totally great!! I am so happy to see other people digging her work as much as me.
