a fun, but rainy, july 4th…. we went hiking in wawayanda state park, new jersey (i like the name!), then back in brooklyn we had dinner and drinks with friends upstairs, and watched the fireworks (through the rain and clouds) on our roof. the drizzly weather reminded me of 4th of julys in san francisco.

  1. That is a great name…fun just to say it. btw, I had a NYC visit a week ago, and spent time in Brooklyn for the first time in about 50 yrs. My Nana’s brother lived on TenEyk street, a railroad apartment complete with a bathtub in the kitchen. I loved my visits there in the 50s!

Great shops in the Cobble Hill area and a visit …finally …to Sahadis.

  2. WOW. I used to “summer” at Lake Waywayanda when I was younger and lived in NJ. I haven’t thought about that in ages.

They had so many sunnies and the pedal boats were fun. And ducks/geese. Lots of geese poop.

  3. Yep, we had another foggy 4th in San Francisco this year! You could hear the fireworks, but not really see them, save for a burst of light in the fog. I actually really love it, San Francisco certainly is a unique city.
