children’s drawings are wonderful. I like that the dog is portrayed from the same angle on the pictures 🙂
such a lovely little story! i love when kids tell stories! they keep it simple and sometimes it really surprises me what they come up with! and wow -she really captured the sleeping dog perfectly!
Oh my god, this actually made me WEEP! Amazing…
I agree with the other comments- children’s art is wonderful. They have such a free, simple, un-self- censoring, unexpected approach to making things. Love the one especially of Gus sleeping. Thanks for sharing your niece’s art, Lena.
oh this is so so sweet. i display all of my nephews drawings in our apt. i agree with all of the comments there is something so inspiring about what they see & how they translate it. thanks so much for sharing!
Best thing I have seen all month! Possibly year. Or ever.
Ahh, how cute, I bet Gus and Coco could cuddle together. I love those little marker Guses 🙂

omg yıur niece is pretty creative<3 wonderful drawings and they are also precious.
thanks for the comments everyone! kids artwork really is amazing. drawing with my niece made me kind of wish that i was an art teacher.
that is the best story. ever.
This is so charming. I love the observation that he likes to stay near you.
I love kid drawings, too. They have a way of observing overlooked things and fixing on strange details that’s delightful. I spent one year out of college teaching second grade and I still have a massive folder of the artwork the kids made for me. I could never bear to throw it away. It’s made with such joy and sincerity.
oh how fantastic!!!!!! in the eyes of babes…. nancy
What beautiful pieces of artwork. I love the picture of the dog getting cozy in bed! Thanks for sharing. xox, Linnea
i am so in love with my son’s drawings that i just had one of them tattooed on my arm. i know some think it odd, but i think it’s GLORIOUS. children’s drawings are the best.
So damn cute, the drawings are amazing!
I’m stealing the stick family idea. I’ll have my boys draw our family and then take a picture like you did and use it as our holiday card photo. Thank you. recovergirl.wordpress.com
