  1. awwweee.. he is adorable and judging from 2 friends who have duschunds there will never be a dull moment-extremely intelligent breed!

  2. oh he’s beautiful!! and an almost exact twin of our five month old puppy, baxter. you’re going to have so much fun with gus – dachsies are great little dogs, smart, loving, brilliant and, of course, soooooo cute!

  3. Oh my goodness…I am so jealous ;))) {very much craving a pup right now…and erm, forever}

    Gus is just too cute!! x

  4. Oh Gus!! I need one of these for my studio — maybe Gus’ little sister. So adorable I keep coming back to look.

  5. and you know you’re part of a great tradition… picasso, frank lloyd wright, mondrian…. all dachshund owners

  6. thanks everyone!
    it was a fun, but also frustrating first week with Gus! he’s so sweet, but wow– having a puppy really takes over your life! (so true roxy)

  7. That puppy is so cute!!! As a fellow doxi parent- just one word of advice: never let Gus jump off the bed, couch or any other furniture… doxi’s backs are there weakness and we all want Gus ot live a long, happy life.

  8. OH MY GOD. i used to have a daschund and the sight of them just sends my head in a spin. i don’t think it’s ever possible to get over these naughty adorable creatures once you’ve lived with one 🙂

    he is just so utterly lovely i can’t even put it into words. i’m going to go and cry now 😉

    aww! i’m sorry you don’t have a dashchund in your life right now!

    i’m going to start a Flickr account, so i can post pictures of Gus without it taking over my blog… he’s just so photogenic…

  10. I would love to get them together!
    Gus still needs the rest of his immunization shots before he can socialize– so sometime mid-October, he’ll be ready!

  11. Hehe ok I know I’m commenting SUPER late but puppy gus is absolutely adorable. Daschunds are so small as adults… so as a pup he must’ve been able to fit into a teacup!

    Ah, I’m in love!
