i’ve been meaning to post for a while about textile designer lucienne day, who passing away at the end of january at age 93. i remember the first time i saw her work, i felt the wind knocked out of me in a good way. she was so prolific, and i’ve turned to this book of her work so many times when i need a burst of energy for designing. thank you for being so inspiring, lucienne.

her work is truly something else. her fine line drawings are my favourite.
I didn't know that she had passed away. I was lucky enough to go to a small talk she gave at Glasgow School of Art about 5 years ago. She was very inspiring. It's nice to be reminded that I was lucky enough to attend that talk and to read about her life again. thank you.
i was so sad to hear about her passing too. i just did a project inspired by her print Miscellany, her work is so much fun!!
lucienne day was the first person who ever inspired me to do textile patterns (now for paper). I think we have the same book on her! thank you for remembering her…
