i love these sandals from folk, and not just because they’re named the “lena” shoe! i wish i had a little more money to spend and i would buy them in a second. maybe i could wear them with this “corwin” sweater, while seeing this movie… ha ha. (i hardly ever see my name, first or last, so it’s been funny to come across so many all at once)

designer sale this sunday!

we’ll have mociun + corwin goods there at discounted prices.
i’m dreaming about about all the things i’m going to want to buy from the other designers…

great patterns from keibunsha, via dear ada.

does anyone know the artist?
update: patterns seem to be by designer Lida Kasa Ten, although it’s hard to find info online!

i was very happy to contribute to the new fog linen book, around fog linen. yumiko sent me a package of beautiful products that i photographed in my home– as did designers maria vettese, jen causey, lotta jansdotter, and several more. i love the fog linen aesthetic so much (the new spring catalog is now available). i especially loved the hand drawn gift certificate that yumiko included when she sent me the books.connecting with like-minded creative people around the world like this has been the best part of having a design blog.

i’ve been meaning to post for a while about textile designer lucienne day, who passing away at the end of january at age 93. i remember the first time i saw her work, i felt the wind knocked out of me in a good way. she was so prolific, and i’ve turned to this book of her work so many times when i need a burst of energy for designing. thank you for being so inspiring, lucienne.
