a book full of patterns… my favorite!

derek fagerstrom and lauren smith, owners of the curiosity shoppe in san francisco, have a new book out today called wallpaper projects: more than 50 craft ideas for your home, from accents to art. i designed a pattern for the inside jacket and endpapers, which will also be produced as a wallpaper. the book is so cute! here are some of my favorite pages… and there’s an interview with derek and lauren on design*sponge today.

it was so warm yesterday, it felt like summer.

so we had a barbeque and spent a lot of time outside.

a couple updates…

i got the shoes! at soula in park slope. thanks sherise!

and thanks so much to everyone who left a paris recommendation. we booked a moderate hotel in the center of the city. i am a little disappointed that we’re not staying in an apartment. but for such a short trip, we decided the convenience for a hotel might be better. i’ve enjoyed seeing jen‘s paris breakfasts the last few days…

i stopped in earnest sewn yesterday, and saw the rob ryan exhibit in the back (and snapped some photos with my phone). go check it out if you’re a fan of his work! i loved how the floor was covered in remnants from his cut-outs.

karin gave me this beautiful candle holder a few months ago, and i’ve been meaning to take a photo. it’s made from a small slab of unglazed black clay, and i love it. also, josh fixed a floor board yesterday and found this old spoon. our house is about 150 years old… i wonder what year this spoon was lost?
