haunted house (church) next door…
experimenting with printing on wood…

a few photos… i haven’t had much time to post lately. i’ve been (happily) busy with: getting used to my new ruitine with gus, filling orders for the d*s shop (which finished up this weekend, thank you again grace! i’m looking forward to the new set of designers this week), and hanging out with out of town visitors…

i followed the link to artist/interior designers john meyers and linda wary of warymeyers, who made the incredible repainted eames chair, from time out‘s home design issue… and i loved, loved looking through their portfolio of work. their rooms are so fun and playful– and colorful! and all the wallpaper! much of it is not my taste overall, but i love the mixing of colors and style, and vintage pieces. i want to start expanding my small collection of needlepoint pillows!

i found this great pillow at a vintage dealer’s showroom last year, and recognized it as an illustratoion by georges lepape, from a book called the art of vogue covers, by william packer. it’s interesting comparing the print to the needlepoint design, and how the pillow artist made some design choices different from the original– i love the hand in bright orange.
