i found this great pillow at a vintage dealer’s showroom last year, and recognized it as an illustratoion by georges lepape, from a book called the art of vogue covers, by william packer. it’s interesting comparing the print to the needlepoint design, and how the pillow artist made some design choices different from the original– i love the hand in bright orange.

  1. Beautiful pillow and print in the book.I too love the change that was made within the pillow, It is softer, it seems to draw us to look at her face, rather than before focusing on the beautiful but busy pattern mostly underneath her and again on her hat.
