i had a dentist appointment today… yuck. but the upside of going to the dentist is that it’s right around the corner from kinokuniya. i always treat myself to some books and magazines after… i finally bought lotta’s travel book. it’s really sweet. it made me want to go to scandinavia even more (if that’s possible). also got some great fabric/craft books. top two photos from from a japanese book whose title i can read (ISBN4-309-28053-6), and bottom two from lotta jansdotter’s travel style.

  1. Did you have any cavities? Maybe you would want to meet up with Patty, Blade, Olie and Susan in Scandinavia next July?

    Blade

  2. One of my “fantasy holidays” is a design/craft tour of Japan and Scandinavia.
    Dentist…ugh.

  3. Oh, such beautiful shots. I’ve been hankering after lotta’s travel book for a while now, and after reading your post, don’t think I can hold off any longer. I recently bought the Stockholm’s Kitchens book from Amazon JP and that sated my Scandinavian cravings for a short while, but like you, I’m always longing to go there.

  4. I went there to find that exact book and couldn’t find it. Even with the help of people who work there! What section was the book in?

    Thanks!

  5. Funny you mention your desire to go to Scandinavia. My travelmission in life is the dream to go to the States… especially N.Y. Now I´m stationed in Gothenburg. Wanna change flat for a month…;-)
    Love your blog!

it was on the opposite side of where the craft/sewing books are. there were 2 from a series. i hope you’re able to find it when you go back!

  7. I just came back from Lotta’s sample sale that she’s having in her Brooklyn studio today (75c Hoyt St.). I bought a ton of stuff and she rang me up herself! It’s a tiny space and it was absolutely mobbed, though.
