  1. hi lena! have you seen the new (first) issue of Blueprint? there is a story i’m in love with about making scarves into purses and fanny-packs, just by tying them in knots. i never know how to use my scarves so i think it’s a great idea, and i bet you would love it too, you textile hound…

  2. yes! i have the first issue of blueprint. i have so many scarves (can’t resist collecting them because of the patterns) and i never use them… i can’t say i’ve done the fanny pack project! but i would like to use my scarves for something– maybe sew them together for curtains?

    My housemate just finished a quilt made entirely out of 25 cent cotton scarves she collected at the discount department store up the street. The patterns are beautiful, and the whole thing cost her less than $10!
