i’ve seen the work of karin mamma andersson on a couple blogs recently. i’ve always loved paintings of interiors. i used to do laborious drawings of the rooms in my house when i was a kid. i see there is a book of karin’s work on amazon but it’s very expensive.
Beautiful paintings! I also love paintings of interiors- thanks for sharing these.
she is a great painter and yes this book is expensive, I’m checking on it since some time hoping that maybe by a miracle would get cheaper.

That catalogue/book was compiled for her exhibition at the “Moderna Museet” in Stockholm, Sweden. I had her as a teacher at art school and found her a truly inspiring original. She’s a deep thinker with a splash of folklore and mysticism, from the North of Sweden. She’s the longterm partner of equally talented Jockum Nordström who also comes across as an approachable, odd, warm and funny soul. I used to do laborious drawings ON the interior of my room when I was a kid. Mom and Dad didn’t think that was such a great idea:)

What fantastic paintings. I love paintings of interiors too.
If you have a moment you might want to take a look at Graham Fletcher’s ‘Lounge Room Tribalism’ paintings. He adds tribal artefacts into 1950s interiors copied from old design magazines:
