i’m having some winter blues lately. i like the winter season, but i miss being outside without bundling up in layer after layer of clothing. yesterday it was so sunny in my studio, it was easy to imagine that it was warm outside.

Tell me about it. It just got too warm outside to have a fire every night but it's still too cold to skip the wool socks. Gah! I could use some of that sunlight.
I know what you mean. I live in Florida, so of course it usually doesn't get that cold here. But we have been getting record freezes all week and it has been very cold (for us) throughout the last two weeks or so. Beautiful blog by the way! -Brittni
the winter blues are the pits. but the bright sun here is most excellent.
I so know how you feel. Those rays of sunshine look marvelous though. I would soak up every last one of them!
Love your work. Just got a copy of your book. Hope I can start block printing soon. I do screen print but just bought the block printing supplies… we'll see. The book is wonderful! Great photos, instructions, easy to read and follow. THX
love these photos and especially, the Heath studio mug!
the post holiday part of winter is such a bummer–waiting for spring is like waiting for godot. personally, i've found that getting bundled up for walks is both more annoying and more satisfying with a baby strapped to me. maybe wearing gus in a sling might be a thing to try?
if only that bright sun imparted some warmth.
spring took so long to arrive last year, all i can hope is that we'll move somewhere warmer this winter so that i can escape the winter blues.
me too! all I want to do is go for a nice walk in the park without the burden of millions of layers. But I have to say that going out does help, even if you have to wear a scarf over your mouth!
Me too. It's been gray here every day for weeks. Today is sunny and I can see the sky. I feel so much better but when the gray returns, I think I'll follow your example and pull out some garden books!
I know what you mean! 🙂 I am so ready for Spring & have been checking out all the upcoming collections- you can view here: http://onesownsweetway.blogspot.com/ This will make you wish for warmer weather even more, but at least you'll be fashionably ready! 🙂
i have that same house plant book 🙂 got it for free at a book sale that gave a box of books away to teachers. i really love the illustrations.

It's much too easy to hibernate in Winter. A problem for those of who work at home!
