I remember seeing something for this book. I'm pretty sure it's illustrated by Geoff McFettridge.

Umm lena - you and I must be on the same wave length! I just got elements of style a couple weeks ago on amazon [illustrated version] and I too am in love with the artwork it is beautiful - the book is great to for sentence structure and grammer! And Bohemian Modern was just featured in Domino's issue last month and I also put it on my Amazon wish list! :) lol another book you might like that my teacher introduced me to was vitamin D and vitamin P - search for it on amazon if you haven't already heard of them. ~ inspiring artwork! :^)

cool, thanks roxy~ i don't know the vitamin books. i'll have to flip through them at a bookstore because there's no "view inside this book" option on amazon (hate that).

I second the Vitamin D book...amazing drawings in a well-designed book. I only wish I could enlarge some of the drawings to see the techniques a little better.

About the Bohemian Modern book...I'm not sure it's even been printed yet. But one of my friends, Eli Carrico, worked on the design (along with Michael Worthington, who co-designed the Margaret Kilgallen book) and that's his own stencil typeface on the front. So I'll definitely pick it up!

By the way, Lena, I love your site and get inspiration from it everyday. Thanks.

If you go to Barbara Bestor's website, you can take a sneak peak inside the book. I'm not completely sold by the images shown on her site--but I'd get it for Geoff McFettridge's illustrations alone. It should be out in bookstores by May....

thanks meg
just checked out her site... i agree, the illustrations are the most compelling part of the book preview for me...

the rest of her portfolio has some gorgeous pictures- makes me really want to renovate my kitchen...
